Tournament rules
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These general rules apply to every GSPORTS tournament. Each tournament page may add specific rules, which take precedence. Organisers must also follow the game publisher's published esports and tournament policies.
1. Eligibility
- One account per person, verified by email or Google sign-in. Players must be 18 or older, with a date of birth and PAN card on their profile.
- Squads have exactly four players, each using their own BGMI account matching the UID registered on the platform.
- A player may appear on only one squad per tournament.
- Players must be located in a permitted region for the tournament. Participation where prohibited by local law is not allowed.
2. Registration and rosters
- Only the squad captain can register. Registration closes at the published deadline or when capacity is reached.
- Rosters are frozen after registration and locked at the roster lock time. Exceptional substitutions require written approval from officials.
- Officials may approve, reject or disqualify registrations that do not meet these rules.
3. Daily games, entry fee and refunds
- Only registered players with a complete profile can play. A player can be in only one squad per game, and in only one game per time slot.
- The entry fee for paid daily games is ₹100 per player (₹400 per squad of four). Every player pays their own share from their own GSPORTS wallet.
- The squad captain registers the squad for a game and pays their ₹100 at that moment. Each teammate then receives an invitation in the app and on the website.
- A teammate must accept the invitation to play. The teammate needs at least ₹100 in their wallet; ₹100 is deducted the moment they accept. A teammate may also decline, which cancels the squad's registration for that game.
- The squad is confirmed and gets a slot only when all four players have paid. If any player has not paid by the time registration closes (30 minutes before the game), the squad is cancelled and everyone who paid is refunded to their wallet.
- A game has up to 25 squads. It is played only if at least 15 confirmed squads are registered when registration closes. Otherwise the game is cancelled and every player's entry is refunded to their wallet.
- If a game is cancelled for any reason (not enough squads, server issues or officials' decision), every player's entry fee is returned to their wallet automatically.
- If a squad withdraws before registration closes, or its registration is rejected, every player who paid is refunded. A squad that is disqualified for breaking these rules forfeits its entry fees.
- Every wallet payment and refund shows the game it belongs to (game name, date and time) in the wallet history.
- One free game is held every day at 7:00 AM. It has no entry fee and no invitation payment.
- Prize money is credited to the winning players' wallets and can be withdrawn to UPI (up to ₹2000 per request).
4. Match rooms
- Room IDs and passwords are released in the app or website shortly before each match, only to approved squads assigned to that match.
- Never share room credentials. Unregistered players in the room may lead to the squad's disqualification.
- Join on time. Officials may start without late squads.
5. Fair play
- Prohibited: cheats, hacks, modified clients, macros, unauthorised emulators, teaming with other squads, stream sniping, exploiting bugs, account sharing and match fixing.
- Abusive behaviour towards players or officials is not tolerated.
- Violations can lead to point deductions, disqualification, forfeiture of prizes and account suspension.
6. Scoring and results
- Each tournament publishes its placement points, points per kill and tie-breakers.
- Officials enter and approve results. Only approved results count towards the leaderboard.
- Disputes must be raised through the platform within 30 minutes of the match ending, with evidence where possible. Officials' decisions after review are final.
7. Disconnections and remakes
Disconnections are generally not grounds for a remake. Officials may decide on a remake for server-wide issues at their discretion.
